On September 26, 2022, the French Directorate General for Civil Aviation (DGAC) released an update to its Technical Note concerning the installation of photovoltaic panels (PPV) within or near aerodrome areas.
This update notably removed the constraints related to glare, which were present in previous versions.
This decision reflects the evolution of technical knowledge and the assessment that glare's impact on aviation safety is negligible.
