At the end of 2018, LIDL inaugurated one of its largest logistics platform in France as well as its new regional office in Occitanie in Baziège.
With a total area of 56,000 m2 including a 25,000 m2 warehouse, administrative offices and technical buildings, this new platform replaces the old one that has become too small.
The installation of the PV carports was completed in April 2020 and the commissioning of the plant will be effective in early July. Our client GENSUN, EPC specialist in photovoltaic construction and general contractor for this project (in a consortium with its subsidiary Enersteel for the structure part) consulted us to assist them in the supply of modules. In total, 1680 PV modules now shelter the vehicles of employees.
This project involved: Passefond Construction for masonry / VRD, SEIMA for the cable pulling and GenSun PVS (Portuguese subsidiary of Gensun) for electricity and finally Qualiconsult as quality control.
This new project is part of an approach to preserve the environment and the installation of photovoltaic carports for the 200-space “light vehicle” parking lot is perfectly in line with the building part of the construction (logistics platform and offices).
GENSUN, EPC specializing in the construction of large scale photovoltaic power plants in France and abroad, has been supporting the promoters of photovoltaic projects since 2007 and masters all the essential skills to the construction of a photovoltaic power plant.
Since 2017, GENSUN has joined the Ponticelli Frères group.
To date, GenSun has already built more than 800 MWp, in particular with projects of more than 100 MWp in El Salvador and Argentina, but also projects in Portugal and Tunisia.
ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified since 2011, GenSun is one of the first three French companies to have obtained the AQPV General Contractor certification.
“For this self-consumption project, Synapsun supported us in” direct-manufacturer “sourcing from GCLSI. The supply of the 500kW of monocrystalline modules took place under flexible conditions perfectly suited to the needs of the project. The modules were imported and placed in buffer storage under the supervision of GCLSI and Synapsun. Then the deliveries to the site were adapted to the pace of the work. Three deliveries over 10 weeks tracked by GPS beacons made it easier for us to manage the site. ”
